I should have turned it into a 650cc air compressor! There wasn't much you could do to upgrade the old 1300, so why not?

That seems like a small amount of parts. D oes it run on two cylinders on one side, and use the other two (no fuel) to compress air through one way valves in spark plug holes?

Looking at the mufflers and the pipe to the air tank I’d say that the rear two cylinders are running gasoline to power it and the front two are pumping air. I think you’d want to use opposing cylinders to keep it balanced, one of the great things about a flat engine.
